Last Day of School!!!

Graduation was a great success last night.

This is the last day before my year of adventure...it begins tomorrow.

The adventure will begin soon!

Last night, Alan, Andrew and Alex helped me move most of my furnature from room 114. I think it is just hitting me that I will be on the grand adventure soon.

I have lots of binders and paper to sort through before I go. That will keep me out of mischief.

Last night, Alan, Peter H. and I went to the Penn's home and saw pictures of New Zealand. The Penns provided amazing information about travel, accomodations and places to see. I am looking forward to this trip.

We decided to invite Peter along with us to New Zealand. He is such a good friend of the family. Peter plans on going for the first two weeks of our trip. So far, that means we will explore the north end of New Zealand with Peter. We can hardly wait.

First Blog

Wow, I am so excited to have started this blog.

I am off on a year of travel and adventure in a few weeks. I think this is a great way to keep a travel log with pictures to share with my family and friends. My husband, is retiring this summer, therefore, I have taken a year off of work for the two of us to travel.

Also, in this blog, I plan on including my creative persuits in rug hooking, quilting and knitting. My little sister, Laurie, has inspired me to start knitting again. Pictures will follow, once I have them available. Some of my knitting projects can be seen on her blog.

Included in this blog will also be pictures of my children, Andrew and Lisa, and of course Peter our future son-in-law! We are very excited about the wedding this summer. As well, I cannot forget our two surrogate children, Harry and Oli, our two cats.
